There are plenty of reasons the Patty Peck Honda team loves the Honda lineup. Honda vehicles are innovative, inspired, and designed to make driving more memorable, so it's easy to see why we like them so much. But when it comes to the 2018 Honda Clarity Plug-in Hybrid, we couldn't pick one favorite feature—so we picked five. Here they are, in no particular order: the five coolest features of the Clarity Plug-in Hybrid.

1) Class-leading all-electric range*

Have you heard the buzz? The Clarity Plug-in Hybrid has the highest all-electric range rating among all midsize plug-in hybrids with an EPA rating of 47 miles on a full charge and an EPA fuel economy rating of 110 combined MPGe.* That’s a lot of sightseeing, trailblazing, dream-chasing miles to rack up on the odometer between stops.

2) Unexpectedly dynamic styling

The Clarity Plug-in Hybrid represents the next evolution of Honda’s styling for electrified vehicles with a low, wide aerodynamic body and iconic front styling, headlights, and tail lamps. The premium interior is fitted with environmentally responsible materials, a combination of sophistication and smarts that sets the Clarity Plug-in apart from the crowd.

3) Selectable driving modes

Personalize your driving experience. The Clarity Plug-in Hybrid features three selectable driving modes—Normal, Econ, and Sport—so you can tailor your drive to the road and your own desires, whether you’re seeking optimum efficiency or the ultimate performance. Making the Clarity even more flexible, an HV mode can be selected in conjunction with the Normal, Econ, and Sport modes to maintain the battery’s state of charge.

 4) Innovative hybrid powertrain

At the heart of the Clarity Plug-in Hybrid’s powertrain is a hyper-efficient 1.5-liter Atkinson cycle 4-cylinder. The engine can generate electricity or, under certain conditions, act as a direct power source. Electromotive power comes courtesy of a 181-horsepower electric motor that draws power from both the gas engine and a 17-kWh battery pack with a recharge time of just 2.5 hours at 240 volts.

5) Two premium trims

The Clarity Plug-in will be offered in both standard and Touring trims, each of which will offer an array of driver-focused features and technology. Look for more information when the 2018 Honda Clarity Plug-in Hybrid arrives at dealerships later this year.
